Shirley Temple was considered for the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, but the producer was adamant about casting Judy Garland to play the main character.

4. The Lion King

Who doesn’t love Simba?! The Lion King is one of the greatest animated musicals. It features music created by Elton John and Hans Zimmer and won Best Original Score and Best Original Song at the Oscars.

5. West Side Story

This is the story of two young people who fall in love while the streets of their neighbourhood turn into chaos because of two rival gangs. It’s a Broadway classic as well as a classic movie. Its second adaptation came out in 2021.

6. Beauty And The Beast

Young and old enjoy the story of the young maiden who exchanges her freedom for her father’s release from a nasty beast. It won two Academy Awards for Best Original Song and Best Original Score.
